Perez Goes Cold On Hazard Deal

Just days away from the opening of the winter 2018 transfer window, Eden Hazard as ever features in the daily gossip tittle-tattlers. Take this one with a pinch salt if you like, but it`s away from the norm.
According to Spanish media outlet Diario Gol, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, has never really valued Hazard at the £90million Chelsea are reported to want for him. Personally, I don`t see that figure as being anywhere near enough. Even better is the news that Madrid`s president doesn`t like comments that Hazard has made regarding Lionel Messi and Barcelona. According to the article Hazard has recently said,
`In the last 10 or 15 years there is no team like Barcelona or any player that comes close to Leo Messi.`
That one sentence has given Perez the hump, and has also not impressed Madrid supporters. The article finishes by saying that Zinedine Zidane stands alone in his support of Hazard, and with the Frenchman`s time at the Bernabeu, looking decidedly precarious, the media will have to find another suitor for Hazard.
Fear not though, The Sun believe Jose Mourinho is ready to splash the £90m to get Hazard to Old Trafford, as he looks to turn United into a team of ex-Chelsea players.
Following the fallout from 'doctor-gate` and the famed failure by Chelsea`s players to play for the Portuguese one in the 2015-2016 season and you have to question the validity of this as a possibility. The article also states that Hazard has turned down an offer of £300,000 per week to stay at Chelsea.
This is a story that will run beyond January and into the summer. We will of course keep you up to speed with any developments here.
