Arsenal transfer news: Gunners identify two huge Summer targets

Arsenal transfer news has already begun for the Summer window, as the club will purse Malcom and Jan Oblak.
Arsenal endured a relatively successful transfer window. However, that hasn’t stopped the Gunners as Arsenal transfer news has already emerged for the Summer window.
According to Evening Standard, Arsenal will not rest on their laurels as they’re already developing a transfer strategy for the next opportunity. The board have signaled Malcom and Jan Oblak as potential investments.
There has been a serious reshape of Arsenal’s backroom staff this season, and times are exciting for the Gunners. With Sven Mislintat signing from Borussia Dortmund to take to head of recruitment role, Raul Sanllehi had his first day as Arsenal’s head of relations yesterday.
It’s believed that the two additions are already working with the board to signify some additions they can make to the Arsenal squad, in the Summer of course.
Malcom was a huge target of Arsenal’s in recent weeks , however the deal unfortunately fell through. The Gunners are that eager to sign the Bordeaux starlet, that they will try again when the next window comes around.
Jan Oblak is an interesting, and certainly promising target. With Petr Cech ageing, and looking rusty in recent weeks, it’s important that the Gunners plan replacements. Arsenal aren’t quite up there with the likes of Manchester City, Spurs, Chelsea and Manchester United when it comes to the quality of their goalkeepers, and that could be a problem easily solved.
Jan Oblak is just 25 years old, which is still young for a goalkeeper. He’s considered to be an excellent shot-stopper in Spain, and Arsenal may get the chance to see him apply his trade should the Gunners face Atletico Madrid in the Europa League.

Overall, this Arsenal transfer news is positive. It’s clear that there’s intent being shown by the Arsenal board, which is something that’s been lacked in recent years. What do you make of it?
