New Arsenal signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan: ‘I don’t have anything to prove

Arsenal signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan insists he has nothing to prove after his high-profile January switch from
Manchester United to Arsenal.
The Armenia international joined the Red Devils in 2016 from Borussia Dortmund and went on to make 39 appearances for the club.
However, he opted to join Arsenal in January after the two clubs agreed a swap deal involving Alexis Sanchez and remains adamant he has made the right decision.
‘I don’t have anything to prove to anyone,’ Mkhitaryan said. ‘I just have to enjoy myself, do my best and at the end I will see where I can reach.
‘I don’t want to blame anyone but I am happy that this [half of the] season passed already. I am starting a new chapter in my life, in my football career and I am very happy to be here.
‘I will be pleased to achieve more than I have done in Manchester, of course.’

Mkhitaryan’s biggest acheivement in a Manchester United shirt was helping the club to Europa League glory last season, scoring six goals in 11 games.
He’s yet to bag a goal after his two appearances under Arsene Wenger’s guidance so far, but he did assist three of the Gunners’ five goals against Everton on February 3.
Arsenal take on Spurs in the early kick off on February 10 at Wembley Stadium.
