BAYERN MUNICH PULL OUT OF THE RACE FOR ARSENAL TARGET

Arsenal appear to have been handed a boost in their hopes of signing Malcom from Bordeaux this summer.

As quoted by the Independent’s Twitter account, Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has confirmed that his side are not interested in pursuing a deal for the Brazilian winger ahead of the summer transfer window.

Various claims had indicated that the Bundesliga giants were in prime position to move for Malcom at the end of the season. Heynckes, however, has refuted these claims and it seems Bayern will not be making a move for the ex-Corinthians wide man in the near future.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Malcom and are even reported to have had a bid turned down for the player in the January transfer window.
They may still face competition from Tottenham Hotspur for his signature, but Bayern’s withdrawal from the race for Malcom’s signature is sure to come as good news for Arsene Wenger.
