Arsene Wenger rejects huge offer from French club

Arsene Wenger has turned down the chance to be the new manager of Saint Etienne, according to reports.
*
Wenger is leaving Arsenal after 22 years in charge but wants to remain in football.
*
He has made it clear that another job in the Premier League is not of interest at the moment, due to his Arsenal connections.
*
But the Frenchman is open to offers from abroad and Saint Etienne were the first to make the 68-year-old an offer.
*
Le Sport claim the Ligue 1 club have been in contact with Wenger over replacing Jean-Louis Gasset, despite him leading the club to an eighth place finish.
*
Saint Etienne endured a turbulent season with three different managers during the campaign.
*
Oscar Garcia was replaced by former player Julien Sable, however he was soon gone after it emerged he did not hold the relevant qualifications.
*
But Wenger won’t replace Gasset with the outgoing Arsenal boss keen on taking some time to consider his options before returning to work.
*
It is the first time Wenger is without a job in 22 years, having guided Arsenal to three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups
