Arsenal heavily linked with Boca Juniors winger Cristian Pavon. New Gunners boss Unai Emery is searching for new forces for his squad during the summer transfer window as he wants to return the club into the top four of the Premier League next season.
Reports in Argentina suggest that Pavon is a possible target, with the 22-year-old proved that he is one of the brightest stars in Argentina. The winger played five matches for the national team since his debut last year and was picked up in Jorge Sampaoli’s squad for this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
Albiceleste kicked from the Mundial as they lost 4-3 against France but Pavon played well during the competition. He is an attacker who can also play across the frontline.
He is right-footed and has played basically on the right of Boca’s front three, but he can also play on the left where he can cut inside onto his preferred right foot. Pavon started the career at Argentine club Talleres de Cordoba, where he signed his first professional contract as a 16-year-old in 2012. He then joined Boca Juniors in 2014 in a €1.3 m deal, where he has stayed ever since.
