Revealed: Reporter reveals why Arsenal didn’t sign World Class French Forward

Mbappe has already netted 3 goals for France.
.
Kylian Mbappe is the latest sensation of World Football as the 19 year old has brighten up the World Cup after an astonishing performance against Argentina. He scored two goals and also won a penalty as France advanced to the Quarter finals. But his career could have so much different, according to a report that says he could have joined Arsenal.
.
Mbappe started his career with Monaco and since then has improved by leaps and bounds. A superb season with Monaco has earned interests from big clubs and he recently made his deal permanent with PSG after joining them on loan last season.
.
But Sky Sports reporter Guillem Balague says that he should have been an Arsenal player but the Gunners didn’t opt to sign him as they were not prepared to take the gamble. He says that in 2016 there was a chance for the then Gunners boss Arsene Wenger to sign Mbappe, but he opted not to sign him at the end.
.
“At 17 there were a lot of teams interested in him, one of those was Arsenal,” Balague explained on a video published on his YouTube channel.

Mbappe could have become an Arsenal player
.
“But his family and the agents asked for £7 million. For a 17-year-old, Arsenal decided not to continue the conversation because there’s always a risk.
.
Arsenal always had a reputation of being careful in the transfer market during the Arsene Wenger years, and two summers ago Mbappe had played only a handful of senior games for Monaco and scored just one goal that time,” Balague added.
.
It is the exact opposite approach that Real Madrid have had when it comes to teenagers in the transfer market in recent seasons, with Los Blancos coughing up €45m for Vinicius Junior while he was still only 16 and paying a similar amount for Rodrygo Goes just last month. Mbappe was also tipped to sign for Madrid, but he ended up going to the French giants PSG.
