Roma signed Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi yesterday and Gunners missed the chance to improve the squad with France international. During the summer Arsenal were heavily linked with Steven as Unai Emery wanted to strengthen the midfield but negotiations failed as the transfer window closed. Italian club used this situation and added world-class midfielders much cheaper price.
French footballer had an amazing season as he played very well in La Liga and won the World Cup with his national team. N’Zonzi joined the Spanish club from Stoke City in 2015 with a €8m deal and during the years he became a top-class player and unchanged figure for the club.
The 29-year-old joined Roma with a €30m deal. Giallorossi have a great summer as they signed several high-class footballers like Javier Pastore, Justin Kluivert and Bryan Cristante.
Eusebio Di Francesco has big plans in this season as he wants to win the titles. His team have a fantastic squad and Steven improve the line-up much more. Roma reached the Champions League semi-final last season as they sensationally kicked out Barcelona from the Euro competition. N’Zonzi probably will replace Daniele De Rossi who is already 35-year-old.
