ARSENAL ENTER THE BATTLE TO SIGN €55M-RATED BRAZIL INTERNATIONAL - Gooner247

Arsenal join the race to sign Juventus defender Alex Sandro next transfer window. Unai Emery decided to add high-class left-back to replace Nacho Monreal who is already 32-year-old and Sead Kolasinac who is injured. Gunners need a new high-class defender and Sandro is the best option in this situation.

Filipe Luis was another choice but he is already up to 30. Man United were heavily linked with Brazil international but the deal failed as footballer refused to move to England. Last season Alex played 40 games, scored 4 goals and made 5 assists in all competition. This is an excellent result and he will do much more in this campaign as Ronaldo joined the Old Lady.

The 27-year-old joined the Italian club from Porto in 2015 with a £24m deal. He became an unchanged figure for Juventus and played fantastically numerous matches. Brazilian left-back is contracted with the Bianconeri until 2020 and his release clause is around €55m.

His price could increase during this season. Gunners have to compete with Red Devils to add a player as Mourinho also needs high-class left-back and his primary target is Sandro. Arsenal started terribly this campaign but Unai Emery changed some things in the club and they won last two games against Cardiff and West Ham United.
