Aaron Ramsey to Bayern Munich: Update from Germany on the future of the Arsenal midfielder

There is sure to be much speculation around the future of Aaron Ramsey in the coming weeks and months.

The Welshman was expected to sign a new deal at Arsenal, but a contract offer that was on the table was rescinded by the club and the midfielder can now leave the Emirates for free in the summer.

Should Arsenal want to cash in, they would have to sell him in January, but they are unlikely to get much for a man who has only six months of his current contract left.

A number of clubs have already been linked with a move, including Liverpool, AC Milan and Bayern Munich.

And it is the German giants who have been credited with the biggest interest of late.

The German giants have struggled in the Bundesliga so far this season and sit fifth in the table and reports earlier this week suggested that Niko Kovac's side were confident they had won the race for the 27-year-old.

Reports suggested Bayern were ready to offer Ramsey a long-term contract to join the German side at the end of the season, but that may not be the case.

There are now conflicting reports coming out of Germany that there is no deal in place between the player and the club.

Bild reporter Christian Falk tweeted last night: "Our information: There is no agreement between FC Bayern and Aaron Ramsey for a transfer."
