Ian Wright sends message to Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette

Ian Wright has taken to social media to single out Alexandre Lacazette for special praise for his contribution to the Arsenal team.

The 27-year-old striker has been a regular fixture in the Arsenal side under Unai Emery this season and he has been in decent form for the Gunners, scoring six goals and making five assists in the Premier League so far.

Lacazette, however, may not have started as many games as he would have wanted this season, with the forward having only started 12 of Arsenal’s 19 Premier League games.

Nevertheless, the France international has been underlining his importance to the Arsenal side.

He has notched up three assists and scored one goal in his last five outings for Arsenal in all competitions, and he set up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for his goal in the 1-1 draw at Brighton on Boxing Day.

And Arsenal legend Wright is clearly a big fan of the striker, as he took to social media to salute Lacazette after the draw on the south coast on Wednesday.

Wright wrote on Twitter: “Your work for this team and all Auba’s goals does not go unnoticed @LacazetteAlex

Arsenal will now turn their attentions towards their crunch showdown against Liverpool FC at Anfield on Saturday night.

The Gunners are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table as they seek Champions League qualification
