Arsenal reportedly set their sights on English talent also linked with UCL giants

The London-based club Arsenal have joined the race to land Norwich City right-back Max Aarons in the January transfer window, the latest reports say.

According to a British daily tabloid newspaper The Daily Mirror, via The BBC, reports that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are set to battle it out to land the highly-rated youngster this month.

The report states that Aarons is valued at £15 million by Norwich, but they will only let the star leave if they are able to have him back on loan for the rest of the campaign.

The 18-year-old talent has burst onto the scene at Carrow Road last year, in August and has only lost two senior games since his senior-team debut.

He has netted and assisted goals from right-back, whilst also showing that he is a solid full-back going back towards his own goal.

Spanish manager Unai Emery is looking to strengthen his defensive variants and has earmarked Aarons as a potential long-term right-back for future campaigns.

However, the north London giants will have to battle hard to beat fellow Premier League side to the signing.
