Arsenal want to sell Mkhitaryan, make Ozil transfer decision and plot FIVE summer exits

ARSENAL have reportedly decided to sell Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan when the transfer window reopens.

Arsenal duo Mkhitaryan and Ozil has flitted in and out of the Gunners starting XI during Unai Emery’s time in charge.

At the start of the season, hopes were high that Armenia international Mkhitaryan would kick on and rediscover the form that prompted them to sign him from Manchester United.

But his Arsenal season has been plagued by inconsistency and now, according to the Mirror, he will be sold at the end of the campaign.

Regarding Ozil, it has been a tricky term so far.

The Germany international has struggled to win Emery round and, as a result, an Arsenal exit has been mooted.

He will supposedly join Mkhitaryan on the scrap heap when the transfer window reopens.

Emery reportedly believes both players - who earn over £500,000-a-week between them - can leave to free up funds for the summer.

However, the Mirror claim that the Arsenal duo may be joined out of the exit door by another three players.

Petr Cech is retiring, heading for another adventure after playing so long at the highest level.

Danny Welbeck is poised to leave as a free agent as well, with the England international currently sidelined through injury.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have been urged to replace Ozil with Real Madrid star Gareth Bale

"I think he suits Arsenal down to the ground as well,” Merson said.

“If they could get him in and get Mesut Ozil out they’ve had a big result.

"Bale would be brilliant at Chelsea as well but that all depends on their transfer embargo. If it’s delayed could they do some kind of swap with Eden Hazard?

"I think Hazard is going to Real Madrid. He would have signed a new contract by now otherwise. But Bale would not be a bad replacement, would he?"
