Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Agent confirms move, Man United target 'agrees' transfer

Arsenal transfer news includes links from across Europe ahead of the summer transfer window

Premier League football is finally returning after the wilderness of the international break but transfer rumours for Arsenal persist through it all.

Plenty of names are creeping up time and again often with new clubs being attached to them but there are definitely some consistencies with who Unai Emery could be in charge of next season.

The north London side are said to be advanced in their transfer plans for this summer and will be prioritising a midfielder to replace Ramsey as well as a left back.

Here are the latest updates and rumours for the players Arsenal have been linked with.

Adrien Rabiot

Reports  suggest the Frenchman has agreed a deal to take him to Real Madrid to play under his idol Zinedine Zidane. Los Blancos are thought to be also keeping tabs on Paul Pogba and Christian Eriksen but the 23-year-old would offer a cheaper alternative and the return of Zidane may give the club some bargaining power.

That would be a boost with the midfielder thought to be demanding a salary of around €10m-per-year, plus a signing-on fee of between €10-15m.

Liverpool and Arsenal, as well as the likes of Spurs, Manchester United and Barcelona have been closely linked to the Frenchman to the star who has been made to train away from the main squad after being banned for the club’s training centre.

Talks have long been reported to underway but earlier this month the player's mother and agent Veronique Rabiot noted her son did not have a club for next season and there had been no negotiations with anyone of late.

Veronique told L’Equipe -  via Sport Witness - : "Everyone says that we have already signed with a club. But we did not sign anywhere!

"We really did not have the opportunity to worry about it. At the end of last year, I said that I would not speak with any club before January 1st. I have been out of this world for over two months, with all our misfortunes. There are priorities in life. They were elsewhere for us."

Freddie Woodman

Newcastle goalkeeper Freddie Woodman has yet to receive a new contract offer from Newcastle despite interest from Arsenal and Celtic  according to reports .

The 22-year-old, who rejected an offer earlier this season to extend his current terms, was not allowed to go out on loan this term but he has since struggled for chances at St James’ Park.

The likes of Fulham and Everton are also thought to be interested, but in pre-season Arsenal acquired services of goalkeeping coach Chris Terpcou from the Magpies, who played a role in brining through the England under-21 international.

The 22-year-old was on loan at Aberdeen during 2018 and also kept four clean sheets as England won the under-20 World Cup in 2017.

Nicolas Tagliafico

The agent of Ajax left-back and Arsenal target Nicolas Tagliafico has confirmed that his client is prepared to “take a leap” at a new club as top sides monitor his progress.

Tagliafico has caught they eye in the Netherlands this season with impressive Champions League performances which has attracted attention from some of Europe's top clubs.

Arsenal are understood to be targeting reinforcements in Tagliafico’s position this summer with Nacho Monreal's contract nearing its end.

"Ajax made an offer, but it wasn't accepted because it's the right time to take a leap," Ricardo Schlieper told Muy Independiente Radio.

"Let's see what happens in the market."

He added: "There has been no talk of numbers with Ajax, but they will ask for a significant amount – I think it will be more than €20million [£17m]."
