How much Arsenal boss Unai Emery has to spend in summer... and he's eyeing THREE deals

ARSENAL have decided how big Unai Emery’s summer transfer budget will be, and it isn’t as big as fans may have hoped.

Arsenal face Napoli in the Europa League quarter-finals on Thursday, but Europe’s second tier competition is not where they want to be.

Emery was handed the reins last year after Arsene Wenger departed the club. The Spaniard’s main aim was to get the club back into the Champions League and they have a good chance of getting there next season.

The Gunners are not only just four Europa League games from glory, but they sit fourth in the Premier League having played a game fewer than fifth placed Chelsea.

A triumph in Europe would see Emery’s side handed an automatic group place slot the the Champions League and with three previous titles in the Europa League, Emery certainly knows his way around.

According to GOAL, the 47-year-old will have £75million at his disposal in the summer, with three key additions targeted.

A left-back, a winger, and a replacement for Aaron Ramsey have all been discussed, with the latter joining Juventus in June.

Despite the end of the season looming, Emery is remaining focused on the task at hand - Napoli.

The former Sevilla boss is happy to be taking a 2-0 lead to Italy, but warned players to stay alert.

“We know it's going to be a different match,” Emery said.

“But I think we are ready.

“We must play with courage and also intelligence because they have players with this capacity but our players also have a lot of experience.

“We know 90 minutes here can be long. But we have a lot of players also to fight against them, and also our capacity for our structure to be solid.”

The Gunners have won eight Europa League games so far this season, but did draw with Sporting Lisbon and lost to both Bate Borisov and Rennes.

Their tie with Napoli is firmly in their favour after a positive first leg result, but Sokratis Papastathopoulos is taking nothing for granted.

He said: “We are waiting for their best performance here with their supporters, the stadium, the atmosphere, the skills and the capacity tactically.

“The atmosphere will be very good.

“I already played a lot of times here but I don't think that changes anything for us. We have a very good team and we trust ourselves."
