ARSENAL are ready to launch a bid for Juventus defender Medhi Benatia.

The Moroccan international is highly thought of at the Serie A outfit, after making his loan switch from Bayern Munich permanent in the summer.
Benatia has replaced Leonardo Bonucci, who moved to AC Milan during the last transfer window.
But Arsene Wenger is keen to pry him away from the Juventus Stadium next month.
According to Sky Italia, Arsenal will bid £35m for the centre-half to try and shore up their defence.
The Gunners have conceded 23 goals in 19 league games so far this term, which is the joint-highest of any team in the top seven.
And with veteran defender Per Mertesacker nearing the end of his time at the Emirates, 30-year-old Benatia would be seen as an experienced recruit for Arsenal.
Arsenal may have extra funds to spend in January as two of their biggest stars look to leave the club.
Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are both out of contract in the summer and Wenger may decide to cash in on the duo next month to avoid losing them on a free at the end of the season.
The former has been linked with a £30m move to Manchester City in January, as Pep Guardiola seeks to beat PSG to the Chilean's signature.
Sanchez's departure could free up the funds to bring Benatia to the club.
The defender scored the winner in Juventus' last outing against Roma.
