Arsenal favourites to complete signing of in-demand Bundesliga winger next month

Arsenal are favourites to complete a transfer for Bayer Leverkusen’s winger Leon Bailey, according to British sources.
Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal expressed strong interest in Jamaican winger in the summer, however, the promising 20-year-old forward has joined Bayer Leverkusen on a five-year deal from Belgian club Genk.
The Jamaican has had a fine start in Germany’s top tier and his performances have put top Premier League club on red alert.
According to The Daily Mirror, Arsene Wenger’s side are now frontrunners to complete the signing of Leon Bailey after overtaking Chelsea, in a fierce transfer race.
It’s believed the Blues have already had a £22million offer rejected for the Jamaican forward and are likely to turn their attention to Everton’s out of favour attacking midfielder Ross Barkley and Monaco’s Thomas Lemar.
Arsenal watched Bailey during his time at Genk and now they are close to finally lure the exciting Jamaican forward at Emirates Stadium.
Arsene Wenger is ready to sanction a £30m move for Bailey who continues to impress at Monchengladbach.
The Gunners are also preparing for the departure of Alexis Sanchez and see Bailey as a perfect replacement for his signature.
