Club chief confirm Arsenal January move for their 7 goals and 4 assists star

Footballer's blog brings you the latest Arsenal news, match analysis, transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from trusted media outlets around the World.
Bayer Leverkusen chief Rudi Voller says they are not ready to sell Leon Bailey in the winter transfer window.
Arsenal are reportedly interested in the pacy winger and are said to be preparing a January move for him. His impressive form since moving to the Bay Arena has led to interest from a host of top clubs including rivals Chelsea.
It’s already been reported that Arsenal will battle Chelsea for Bailey’s signature next month but Leverkusen’s sporting director Voller has handed a huge blow to suitors.
According to Voller, they are in a strong position to keep Bailey.
“We have proven many times that we can say ‘no’. We are very relaxed,” he said.
Since joining Leverkusen in January, Bailey has turned out to be a very exciting player so it isn’t difficult to see why they want to keep him.
Although, it took him sometime to adapt, he has hit the ground running, with seven goal an four assists to his name this season.
Should he continue to perform the way he is doing, then the Germans may not be able to hold on to him for long.
That said, I don’t expect the winger to move in the January transfer window, deals like this are usually complicated and always easier to complete in the summer.
