ARSENAL CLOSING IN ON DEAL FOR GREEK WONDERKID

According to reports, Arsenal have lined up a shock move for Greek wonderkid Konstantinos Mavropanos.
The highly rated centre-back has turned heads for Greek side PAS Giannina this season and is expected to move to the Emirates for £2.2 million.
The Sun claim Mavropanos, 20, will then be immediately loaned out to Werder Bremen for the remainder of the season.
The defender has impressed both defensively and in attack, adding three goals to his name so far. His team currently sit 10th in the Greek Superleague with Mavropanos appearing in 14 of Giannina’s 15 matches.
It’s unlikely the starlet will appear for the Gunners this season, with Arsene Wenger keen to wrap up a deal within the coming days and send him to Bremen.
It’s uncertain whether Wenger will move for another centre-back during the remainder of the window.
The club have been strongly linked with a January move for David Luiz – the Brazilian has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge.
