“Look at the achievements of a player during his career and usually, when a career has been positive, the character has been positive.”
This prompted the German club's sporting director Michael Zorc to reply: “It is a lack of respect. We believe Wenger has enough to think about when it comes to the performances of his own players.”
Meanwhile, Aubameyang's decision play a five-a-side game instead of watching his side on Friday disappointed his manager.
BVB's head coach Peter Steoger said: "I would not have done it that way."
