Official: Arsenal €10m-rated star signs new deal

Arsenal have confirmed that central midfielder Mohamed Elneny has put pen to paper on the contract extension.
The midfielder’s old deal expired in 2020 but the new contract will see him tied down until 2022.
The Egyptian had been connected with moves away from the club in January transfer window after making only seven starts in the Premier League this campaign.
The 25-year-old has seen most of his game time come in cup competitions (EFL Cup, Fa Cup, Community Shield), making eight starts in the Europa League.
Both Premier League clubs, West Ham and Leicester City, were linked with a move for the midfielder in January transfer window but a deal did not happen.
In spite of signing a new deal, it is yet to be seen whether or not Mohamed Elneny’s future remains at the Emirates after the end of the season.
The creative midfielder joined The Gunners back in 2016 from Swiss side Basel and has gone on to make 65 appearances in all competitions.
This season, in all competitions, Mohamed Elneny has made 26 appearances, netted 1 goal and provided 2 assists so far.
