Arsenal chief to play key role in £50m-rated midfielder’s transfer

Ivan Gazidis is hoping that he can play a key part in helping AC Milan beat the likes of Manchester United Tottenham and Liverpool in the running to sign Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey this summer transfer window.

According to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, the AC Milan chiefs are targetting a move for the Wales international, who is likely to be available on a free transfer upcoming summer.

The Serie A giants are hoping to utilise Ivan Gazidis’ links with his former club to sign Aaron Ramsey at the end of his deal at the club.

Talks over a new deal have fallen through and the player is ready to leave Emirates Stadium in either the January or summer transfer window.

Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham and are all being linked with moves to sign the midfielder, while the likes of Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also understood to be keen on securing the contract rebel’s services.

The Gunners may prefer for the player to move abroad, rather than lose him to a direct Premier League rival but they may not be able to prevent such a move from happening as top-four clubs are on red alert.
