Arsenal handed major boost in battle for 23-year-old PSG star

Arsenal handed a huge boost if they decide to pursuit Adrian Rabiot with the midfielder on the verge of rejecting Barcelona’s pre-contract offer, according to CalcioMercato.

The 23-year-old looks set to leave Parc des Princes next summer transfer window after his contract expires, with the Reds, Serie A title holders Juventus and La Liga champion Barcelona all keen on securing the box-to-box midfielder’s signature.
Ivan Gazidis’ AC Milan are also reportedly ready to make Adrien Rabiot one of the highest paid players at the club.
The energetic midfield star has made over 200 appearances for the French champions in six years after progressing through the youth ranks in the French capital, cementing his place in the middle of the pitch through past years.
However, the 23-year-old midfielder has failed to agree to a new contract in Paris and will become a free agent at the end of the season.
The Gunners are expected to lose a key piece, Aaron Ramsey, next summer. Like Rabiot, the Wales international looks increasingly unlikely to sign a new contract, particularly after Arsenal withdrew their contract offer.
